Why TopVetted exists
Online marketplaces surface millions of near-identical listings for the same product category. Two sellers, two prices, two review counts — and no easy way to tell which one is actually worth buying. TopVetted was built to close that gap for beauty shoppers — skincare, makeup, and hair care alike.
How we vet products
Every listing on this site is pulled directly from live marketplace data — not selected by hand, not sponsored, not guessed at. Our process runs on three signals:
- Buyer rating — the percentage of verified purchasers who rated the item positively.
- Order volume — how many units have actually sold, which filters out untested listings with inflated ratings from a handful of reviews.
- Seller history — store-level reputation, factored in to avoid single-listing outliers from otherwise unreliable sellers.
Products are re-pulled and re-ranked on a rolling basis, so the list reflects current marketplace data rather than a static snapshot.
What we don't do
We don't accept payment from brands or sellers for placement. We don't manually curate a "favorites" list based on personal preference. Ranking position is driven entirely by the data described above.
